The core of the film is the frightening concept of what could possibly happen if mankind found a way to mine rainbows. The idea is to make the rainbows look tortured and they will make 'squealing' sounds as if they are alive when in machinery.
This is one of the important scenes in the film which leads onto the 'Car Smash Guy', a rainbow being horrifyingly 'demolished' by a demolition ball. I suppose this scene was the driving force for setting out make this film.
This picture shows the cities people not caring, laughing at the concept of the rainbow being smashed, for they have been clouded by intaking rainbow, either in drink, food or clothing, which acts like a drug of pure euphoria and happiness, unatural for humans to take in so much, it just clouds their judgement, moral and just care about having fun and laughing, at first, all seems innocent, then it grows out of control, until parents are banning children from rainbow as 'adult stuff' as part of the Suits marketing 'Pure Rainbow' (spoof of additives in 'natural' drugs, champoos and even yogurts, even a spoof of United Colours of Benaton) and leaving the kids alone as the grown ups bounce around and party without a care.
This is one of the very old designs of the lead boy, walking under a rainbow being demolished as if it was normal. He looks slightly concerned though, so he hasn't joined the 'Pure Rainbow' addicts but that is because the adults are keeping it for themselves.
A sort of 'oil rig in the air' around the city above the clouds, with many miners using pickaxes/pneumatic drills to 'mine' the rainbow from the sky.
Pneumatic drill again, a worker hard at cracking open a rainbow, barely balancing. Thinking about it, these guys must be well paid...or they just could be variations of Suits.
Here is a device that squeezes the pure colour juice from rainbows almost like an accordion of torture, I can imagine either accordions or bagpipes for this scene, out of tune, to make it sound like the factories are 'hurting' the rainbows.
Here is a set of grinders doing a similar job. Again, with the screeching of the machinery like the rainbows' screams of pain.
This is a conveyor belt cutting the rainbow with different sharp objects. These scene will hopefully be reminiscent of the cartoon factory scenes in Warner Bros. Looney Tune cartoons with that little factory tune, the factory scene in Wallace and Gromit's A Close Shave, the factories in the Oddworld videogames and finally the scene in Chicken Run where they both escape from the pie making machine.
After the kids set the factory to self destruct in the Boss Suit's office, all the rainbows blast off into the sky again, fitting in the gaps left behind in the sky (which have been causing rain) like jigsaw pieces and fading away, as rainbows are supposed to, instead of being 'captured'.

I thought about something too much today. About Rulers.
